La Solfatara dista circa 10 km da Napoli, è aperta tutti i giorni dalle 8:30 ad un’ora prima del tramonto. E' facilmente raggiungibile sia in auto che in pullman o treno.
Come raggiungere la Solfatara
In treno: da Napoli mediante la metropolitana fs linea2, la stazione Pozzuoli Solfatara, è a circa 800 metri dal vulcano, tale tragitto può essere percorso a piedi o con l’autobus locale P9.
In autobus: da Napoli utilizzare le linee 152 o SEPSA o M1
In auto: da Napoli (o dall'autostrada Roma–Napoli) utilizzare la Tangenziale di Napoli, uscita n11 di Agnano, quindi seguire la segnaletica per Pozzuoli o per la Solfatara.
I veicoli privati e gli autobus turistici dispongono di un ampio parcheggio nelle zone adiacenti l’ingresso, il percorso nel cratere è solo pedonale.

The Solfatara is about 10 km  from Naple,is open everyday from 8:30 AM to one hour before dusk. Sit can be easily reached both by car as well as bus and train.
How to reach the Solfatara
By train Take the Metro (Underground linea2) and get off at the Pozzuoli-Solfatara station which is about 800 metres from the entrance to the Volcano. You can come on foot or by city bus P9.
By bus The line 152 and Sepsa buses leave Piazza Garibaldi, downtown Naples, cross the city and reach the Solfatara.
By auto  If you are coming from the Autostrada you must exit and, after the pay toll booth, take the entrance to the Tangenziale of Naples and
ride it all the way to exit n11 of Agnano at about 4 Km. from the Solfatara, therefore follow the directions for Pozzuoli and the signs “Vulcano Solfatara”.
Private vehicles and tourist buses can take advantage of a parking area in the spots close to the entrance, the walk way is only for pedestrians.
